Choosing the right foundation

Choosing foundation is an important step towards achieving the great look you’re aiming for. Some women think that this is a step that is not very crucial especially with so many foundation products available in the market. But anyone who has seen a woman who wears a too light or too dark foundation will know that it is the single best way to ruin a great look.
When choosing a foundation make sure that the shade is at the most only a shade darker or lighter from your natural skin color so you won’t look strange with a radically different skin color on your face compared to your neck and shoulders.

When To Let Go

Skin irritation often starts with the wrong product that you use and apply on your face. Oftentimes we forget to check the products that we use on our face because we tend to think that cosmetics dont expire just like our food.

But then think again, expired makeup can cause serious problems to your skin and your health. Always remember when you had bought the product you put on your face.

Products that you apply to your eyes, like mascara, last for only about 3 months. Facial moisturizers, eye shadows, concealers and lipstick should be discarded after 12 months.

Blush-On

Blush on brings radiance on ones dull face and gives it radiance. Blushers are available in cream, powder or liquid. Select a color of a blush that is closer to the color of your cheeks.

Most women prefer to use a powder blush because its less expensive and easier to apply or to reapply for touch ups. Blusher is the last makeup after youre done applying your foundation and eye shadow on your face.Make sure you just put a right amount of blush on your cheeks, as this will make for a more professional and softer look.

Tools You Need

Makeup is not complete without the tools that you need to apply them or even enhance your beauty. Use eyelash curlers, to accentuate your eyes before applying your mascara. Use an eye shadow brush on eyelids for those beautiful eyes. Brush for your blusher to achieve those rosy cheeks. These are just some of the essential tools you may want to carry along your purse or use at home for better make up application. Just make sure to clean them often as not to irritate your skin. Dusty and dirty make up tools causes bacteria that may lead to acne and other skin irritation.

Whether it be red, pink, brown or mauve, it’s still best to put color on your lips. Choosing the best color of lipstick you’ll use depends on the color of the clothes you’ll wear or on the occasion you’re going to use it, whether it is formal or casual.

Aside from the color, lipstick also has several types. There’s the sheer, which looks natural, wet and shiny but does not last that long. Metallic shimmer, that looks more subtle and matte, which last longer and provides deep opaque colors.

Red Patchy Face – Even it Out

facialHaving white skin is a surefire reason you have those red spots on your face for they tend to show through more with your lighter skin. First advice is to stay away from anything that dilates blood vessels such as alcohol, spices and others. Look for products that contain natural extracts and stuff that has acids to sooth those prominent blood vessels and even your face’s skin tone. Use toners that balances and adjusts the face’s pH, thus calms it down relaxing the underlying blood vessels as they penetrate the skin. If all else doesn;t work, see your dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Botox on specific areas that have too much redness has been shown to reduce some of the redness by relaxing the blood vessels as well but for those who suffer from broken blood vessels (similar to varicose veins on your legs) some lazing may be in order to zap them to limbo freeing you from those ugly red spots you hide with tons of foundation and make-up.

The Truth About Make-ups

Women, though not all, love wearing make-up especially when attending parties and special gatherings. However when they get home, because of tiredness, they sometimes forget to take them off and just head off to sleep or sometimes opt to take it off the next day thinking that it wouldn’t do them any harm. But the truth is, it is very harmful to the skin and is important to remove especially when oil based make-ups are used. Failure to do so can attract dirt, clog skin pores and the worst of all cause skin breakouts. That is why it is not enough to just wash your face with water. If possible, wash it with a facial cleanser and still use a make-up remover afterwards. Doing this could ensure that the make-up is completely removed from your skin and also could keep your skin healthy.
